Broghies Ireland is a member of the Garavogue family. Garavogue, a company which is based in Canada and named after a river in Sligo, was founded by Terry Brush and Ken Tracey.
Terry and Ken understood there was a gap in the market for a healthy snack, which children and adults could enjoy. Terry and Ken envisioned a product which would be nourishing, tasty, truly healthy and low in calories. They began a worldwide search which ended in Asia, this is where they discovered the popped multi-grain wafers which today are widely known as Broghies. Terry and Ken named Broghies after their daughters, Broghen and Brogyn.
Terry and Ken stayed true to their vision and have delivered a product which has no fat, no sugar, no preservatives and less than 20 calories. Broghies are made fresh in store from a compact machine which uses a simple heat and pressure system rather than oil and frying.
